Life's ironies when kids are just kids.Sweet!

An interesting but endearing thing that happened few days ago while having family devotions. My children are like Tom and Jerry at 10 and 7 years of age.Its kind of bugging at times but then its also cute. The other day we were having prayer and I made them hold hands during prayer. Somewhere in the middle of the prayer that I was making them say, I had a vague notion that they werent holding hands anymore..... so I opened one eye only to see that my younger one was holding on to the sleeve of the jacket my older daughter wore....so the chain wasnt broken. Cute! I barely kept my voice straight.Thank you Lord for such tiny splendors.

That brings to mind one more incident that happened few years ago.I used to watch This is your day program quite regularly then.My children were 7 and 4 then and my 4 yr old was sitting on the potty trying to do her thing since a while.Her sister was reading a story.
Suddenly I heard my older daughter say, "In the name of the Lord, Do!" I just burst of laughing and few seconds later there was a result!! To this I didnt know whether to laugh or cry!

Refreshing through reflection of God's unfailing love.

“When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” Psalm 94:18-19 NIV How many times I was in this very situation.The stress,worry,agony was so great at different times.Countless! And every time I look back on them I see the signature of the Lord....of having held my hand and brought me through safe and sound.So many such times I have wondered ..why cant I have faith like patriarchs like Abraham,Moses,King David.... and contemporary heroes of faith as well whose lives have left an indelible impression on me. Yet when one looks back and wonders at the work of God's hands,I find that it is in reflecting on God's goodness that faith grows.Ps 118 says His love endures forever!Not now, not for ten seconds, not for ten minutes, a year or a decade but ...FOREVER!
