Learning lessons

Of late,I have come to know that It is not in man's hands to give me what I need. Its useless to expect a promotion or something that we deserve by rights from man. Every blessing comes from God alone. That has never been more truer in my life. Good or bad, God is with me all the time. God was in my past, He is in my present and He is in my future...and when He is with me,I lack nothing. Matthew 28:20 "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." He has promised me a wonderful future and what He said He will do,He will keep His word. 2 Corinthians 1:20 "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God ." One excellent quote by a fellow blogger at memyselfandmercy.blogspot.com(She is an excellent blogger and I like her writings): God sends JUST. WHAT. I. NEED....JUST. IN. TIME.

On making new relationships...for my kids..

First Lady Michelle Obama on relationships: Cute’s good. But cute only lasts for so long, and then it’s, Who are you as a person? That’s the advice I would give to women: Don’t look at the bankbook or the title. Look at the heart. Look at the soul. Look at how the guy treats his mother and what he says about women. How he acts with children he doesn’t know. And, more important, how does he treat you? When you’re dating a man, you should always feel good. You should never feel less than. You should never doubt yourself. You shouldn’t be in a relationship with somebody who doesn’t make you completely happy and make you feel whole. And if you’re in that relationship and you’re dating, then my advice is, don’t get married. Get out of it and find that person that brings you complete and utter joy with who you are at the moment. I agree with her totally and few years ago Professor Randy Pausch said to the same effect in his famous "Last Lecture". "When it comes to men who are

Kids lessons on being faithful and beleiving in themselves

Things that I have taught my children today: Great is thy faithfulness Great is thy faithfulness Morning by morning new mercies I see All I have needed thy hand hath provided. Great is thy faithfulness Lord unto me. So goes a famous hymn.I told my children today how God provides and we have to acknowledge and give thanks to every little thing or big thing he gives us.Every morning,He blesses us with new mercies and for every mercy we should be thankful. Health, good schools, good teachers and parents, paper and pencils, books and beds, etc all are part of God's mercies every day, so we need to be thankful to Him. Today I also told my children of a lady who is a church friend and she told me today that she did not get pay checks for five years and one day as she was praying and going she heard God say, "its not the pay check that provides for you, its me". I was so humbled by her simple words and I told my children that we should always acknowledge God for everything. Patriar
